Big Bear Lake

Turn at Bassetts on to Lakes Basin Road. Drive about 6 miles to the Gold lake Summit/Round Lake Trailhead. Turn left into the parking lot for the trail. Take the marked trail and when you come to the fork, stay to the right. Going left will take you to round lake. Another .5 miles or so you will come to Big Bear, Little Bear and Cub Lakes. This trail is a nice loop that will take you to Long, Round, Silver and other lakes in the area. More pictures of the other lakes as hiking allows.
