 Note: saw on the news I-80 will be under construction from Applegate to the Nevada State line all summer, with delays expected. Based on that I would come using 49 from Auburn if coming from the Bay area or Sacramento this summer.

Roads-  all clear, Remember to call the CalTrans number 1-800-427-7623. Enter the road number and it will only tell you if there is a problem or road condition. 

Bugs- the bugs are gone

Weather:  A cool fall day today, maybe 55, cooling at night.  Looks like a little rain tonight then nice next week.

  Disclaimer- we will try and keep this current but we can't be held accountable for the changing weather and roads. Remember, if you don't like the weather in the mountains wait 10 minutes it will probably change. I will try my best though. Carry chains year round, always have warm clothes and don't forget to bring wine in case you get lost in the woods. My wife and I carry a blanket, bottled water, TP, warm shoes and jumper cables at all times.
