Roads-  Highway 49 is open. The Lakes Basin Road is open.  Lots of back roads open with some snow drifts. Remember to call the CalTrans number 1-800-427-7623. Enter the road number and it will only tell you if there is a problem or road condition.

Bugs- the bugs are back 

Weather:  It is nice today and should be throughout Memorial Day weekend. Around 80 during the day, cool at night, sweater stuff.

 Disclaimer- we will try and keep this current but we can't be held accountable for the changing weather and roads. Remember, if you don't like the weather in the mountains wait 10 minutes it will probably change. I will try my best though. Carry chains year round, always have warm clothes and don't forget to bring wine in case you get lost in the woods. My wife and I carry a blanket, bottled water, TP, warm shoes and jumper cables at all times.
